Costuming
Costuming plays a tremendous role in folk and character dancing. As a dance educator, I find it extremely important that costumes are authentic, well researched, and culturally appropriate.

- During my undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta I minored in Ukrainian Folklore.
- I studied the nuance, diversity, and richness of Ukrainian folk costuming.
- While living in Ukraine I continued my research expanding my knowledge to include Moldavian, Polish, Russian and Belorussia traditional wear.
- I have an extensive personal library of costuming books.
