At the core of my work, I emphasize a pedagogical approach to teaching Ukrainian folk dance, ensuring that students develop strong technical foundations while fostering a deep appreciation for its cultural significance. I integrate developmentally appropriate practice, scaffolded learning, and differentiated instruction to create a structured and effective learning environment. My research on these methods have been featured at conferences across the United States, including the National Dance Education Organization’s annual conference.
My adjudication equips students with the skills necessary for technical precision, artistic expression, and performance excellence. I am committed to shaping the next generation of Ukrainian dancers, and I regularly teach summer intensives and adjudicate dance competitions across Canada and the United States.
